Explorer (13-15):
The Explorer Program is a brand new program within the Washingtonville Fire Department. The goal of this program is to expose young people to the fire service and provide basic knowledge and understanding of firefighting. Explorers will have their meeting nights the second and fourth Thursday of every month from 6:30PM to 8:30PM starting in September of 2022. During these training nights explorers will take part in fun team building events and learn basic firefighting skills from trained Firefighters and Officers of the Washingtonville Fire Department . Explorers are PROHIBITED to responding to incidents and attending regular training nights. Once an explorer turns 16 years of age they are allowed to apply for the rank of Junior Firefighter
